Spiritual and Moral Growth
A chapel time is set aside one day a week to introduce the teachings of the
Christian faith. These concepts are
then applies to the day-to-day lives
of the children. They will see many
instances in which Jesus showed His
great love for people, and about
God’s care for their physical,
emotion and spiritual needs.
They will be encouraged to memorize
Bible verses.
Social and Emotional Growth
It is extremely important to the staff that the children feel they can trust
the teachers and can count on them
to care and protection. When
they learn to trust us, they can be
helped to trust and care for one
another. One of the ways this is
developed is through choosing
partners as they go outside for any
learning experience. They are
encouraged to shake hands with their
partner, verbalize their care for
one another, and put it into action
in fun way.
Music, Art and Drama
Our art program helps the children to follow directions and gain
self-confidence as they learn to be
responsible for getting their own
supplies. The process the
children go through to create their
very own artwork is far more
important the product. The
children may have their own ideas of
the finished creation. Each
child iss encouraged to express
him/herself. Our music and
drama activities include a puppet
theater, scarves, streamers, and
rhythm instruments. We also
encourage fun songs and finger play,
silly songs, and actions to records.
Language Arts
Pre-reading and language skills are developed by exposing children to basic
skill in following directions,
listening, sequencing, matching, and
conversational skill. They
also begin an exciting journey into
letter sounds and letter recognition
through story telling, painting, and
play.
Mathematics
Children enter the fascinating world of number, shapes, and colors through
exposure to number values, basic
shapes and their uses, and colors as
they appear in everyday life.
